Entry #11 Future student of English 102

Dear future student of English 102 class, this is a great hybrid course with a great teacher. This is a shortened English class that you do in person and some online. This is great for someone that is looking to get their classes done a little faster. But, you have to make sure that you fully commit to it and focus to get it done and stay with good grades. I really enjoyed blogging on blogger.com and being able to open up and share all of the things that I wanted to say the way that I wanted to say it. There are many benefits to blogging one of them are that you are able to share your own opinions. The challenges of blogging are that you really have to remember the rules that you are presented with remembering that you have to have a specific tone and you have to know who your audience is. By writing blogs in this class I learned that I am the author it is me doing the writing and everyone that reads my blogs is my audience. I really like that we get to see some of our other classmate's blogs and tell them what we think about them and what we enjoyed or thought could be better throughout them. I think that doing these blogs was very useful and taught me a lot. I really liked that a lot of them were self-generated as well. Blogging is very fun and it does not have to be just when you are doing this class and there are many types of blogs that you can do, so keep blogging and make your voice be heard.

Entry #10 The stress of adulting

Do you ever think when is the bill paying, the late night work days going to end? Well, I have news for you not for a very long time ahh. Remember those times when we were younger and we always use to say I can't wait to do whatever I want, and not have to listen to our parents. Please take me back to those years. You think that you will have all this money as a kid from working and that your bills won't take up most of your paychecks. But sadly they will :(. All the bills that I am paying for right now add up to a lot I pay Rent, Utilities, I make payments on my car that I got from a dealership, car insurance, phone bill, I ended up getting my dogs through puppies n love at the mall and let me tell you now he is an Australian shepherd so that adds up was not a smart idea at the time. I guess what i am getting at here is you have to budget your money the best you can not everyone is going to be there to help you through those bumps in the road. You are the only one that can help yourself in the long turn so make smart financial decisions and save your money while you can if you are not paying rent of a lot of responsibilities right now while you still can. Because when you are saving with all these bills it can seem nearly impossible. But learn from my mistakes and take the steps that you need to to be able to have a positive experience and be able to afford everything that you want in life it is better to be able to learn now rather than end up broke with nothing in the long run because something fell through. make smart choices. :)

Entry #9 The media

Media is a huge thing in today's society we can not even walk down the street without seeing posters advertisements, magazines, hearing things on the radio, and television. Not to mention that it is what people are always talking about it. I always hear people say did you see this on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat? as if our whole world only exists around these things. We would have to live in a cave just to not see or hear about the media everywhere.  Sometimes I just wish I was born in the olden days just to see how it was without all of this technology when people had to actually talk with each other instead of just sending texts, and talking throughout social media this generation needs more of that. How do you pull a society that has already been exposed to that away? It is going to be really hard. You have people that make it their life goals just to be Facebook or Instagram famous with a bunch of likes we are sitting behind a screen. I wonder how over the years how many peoples eyes were affected by the constant use of technology. Staring at computers, phones, and TVs for hours on end. The media is a growing issue and leads to many issues yet it still has many good things like google. If you don't know something you can google it and the news giving us updates on what is going on around the world.

                                                                                     

Entry #8 Blood being thicker than water

Have you ever heard that blood is thicker than water? It is a saying that means that family is more important than anything else. But it does not have to be real blood family. I myself have many people that act more like my family than my real ones do. So does this saying mean that it has to be your blood family or can it be anyone that you consider your family? I think that it all boils down to who is there for you, who you turn to for support or who you turn to when you have a question because at the end of the day if they are the ones there for you through the thick and thin then they can be considered part of your family. It's hard because we cannot pick our family, how they treat us or how the act. All we can do is control our feeling to it and make the big decision of who is really important to us and who is always there for us.

Entry #7 # What are hash tags? #

What are hashtags? 

Hashtags are used to direct you to a group of some kind of like a movement. Have you ever heard of the #Metoo movement? Its were a bunch of people that suffered going through a traumatic event will say #metoo if they have been through it as well. It gives an agreed answer and makes you know that you are not alone. Yes, I have used hashtags mostly the #love hashtag or the #freedom #me. There are so many more hashtags out there all over the web right now. I believe they are mostly on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. The cultural significance that hashtags have is that it makes you feel like you are not alone you can even look up #love in a search bar and find everything that has been posted with that hashtag. Wow, so you can see something that someone loves and see what types of things people love. By just searching #love which opened a gateway into what people love, you get to know others. 

Extra Credit Entry

In Michael Moore’s film, he went on to talk a lot about capitalism and how it affected the people of America. He shows us that in the beginning people just wanted the nicest things in life it was all about who had more money who could do more. What kind of different things you can make money from. Then, came the stock market crash and everyone got to feel what it was like to be on the other side of not having so much money all the time. The thoughts that I have about this video is that capitalism is wrong. People should except people the way that they are just because someone has more money, does not mean that they are a better person than the person that doesn't have the most money. When peoples loved ones pass away they should get the money, not these companies that have not been there throughout all of there life. The purpose of this film is to talk about the huge capitalism problem. It affects many people throughout there life. It is something that should be ended.

Entry #6 Animal Abuse is a Growing issue

Why? would anyone abuse a poor innocent little animals you ask? Because alot of people are messed up and cruel. Animal abuse is a growing issue in Arizona. Did you know that 70% of animals abused are dogs, 20.9% are cats and 24.1% are other animals. This is not okay people why would you harm something that cant even defend itself. It is a sick and cruel world that we live in and it is up to us to help those poor little babies get help and get out of the abusive homes that they are in. Those animals cant talk they really rely on us to save them, help them, feed them and love them but yet there are people that become viloent to these beaautiful loving and loyal creatures that god created for us to love. People say that dogs are a mans best friend but yet 70% of animals that are abused are dogs people train dogs to fight just for there entertainment. This is so sick people why would you want to watch that. I cannot stress this issue enough and people act like it is not even happening if you know someone is hurting there animal it should not be taken lightly. You should report it so that that animal can go to a loving home and get the help it needs dont be scared do the right thing. Think about it animlas try to protect us if we are getting abused by someone so why not do the right thing and save a poor babies life today do not stand by and let this happen. (881)501-0123

Entry #5 AZ needing more college grads

More college grads?
I think that the governor of Arizona in this article https://www.azcentral.com/story/opinion/op-ed/2016/09/17/arizona-needs-more-college-grads-ducey/90363958/ hits a great point that many people in Arizona are unemployed and relying on food stamps and other beneficial practices to help get them by. The homeless rate in Arizona is crazy and some of these homeless people do not seem to mind where they are. That is a huge issue! Like the governor states, we would all be doing so much better if we were college grads we would make more money and be happier and it would help our never-ending growing rate of homeless people asking for money everytime you get out of your car. We are being harassed by homeless people when they could be making money. It is not that hard to find a job in Arizona. Think about it we would all have better skills and be able to do our jobs better than someone maybe with just a high school diploma and people is more likely to hire someone with a degree or college experience rather than just a high school diploma.
Yes, it can cost a lot to pay for college but not enough people apply for grants and try to get help with paying for there college and if you think about it you are making a lot more money with something that you need a college degree for. So think about your future how much money you want to make and what you are really up for in life.

Entry #4 Foster Care in America

Foster care
Children in foster care is a growing issue throughout america many children are looking for homes and someone to love and care for them unconditionally, but yet we have all these people not wanting to adopt. According to "ABC News" About 40,000 infants are placed in foster care every year. Each one of those kids are fighting to live throughout the system. while most of the children left in foster care or dcs are teenagers that end up staying with dcs until the day of there 18th birthday. On average, children stay in the system for almost three years before being able to reconnect with there parents if they can get that chance. There are so many people today trying to work out infertility issues when there are people in america having children that cant even raise them this is a growing issue that should be addressed. I know that many children in the foster care system just want a loving a caring home that could be given to them. I have seen a case where some foster parents just become foster parents to be able to get the check from dcs each month and it turns out they were bad placements to begin with. we can all held this growing issue by good people helping to raise the children in foster care by getting them out of the system and going through trainings, to make a huge imact in others lifes.

In this media report with Sarah Hukabee Sanders she has shares slanted report of  the president trying to say that America is not focused on the good things that Trump is doing her option in biased. She also goes on to talk about statistics and how to "America is winning." They talk about president trumps tweets and Sarah states that she "thinks" he also tweets about healthcare, and immigration bills as well. This report makes me think that it was one sided and staged what about the other people that have opitions on what the president is doing does there option not matter? The meaning behind this report is that she is trying to excuse what Trump did, by saying look what he is doing also. It is saying that he is doing other thing totally shying away from everything else only talking about the good and stating that America is winning when we have all these problems going on. This might impact the audience with there option since it is such a big issue with the media being more bias today.

 

Entry #2 Vampire diaries, the show!

Have you ever seen the show the vampire diaries?

This supernatural drama is full of so many different exciting scenes. You actually feel like you are on the show yourself at some points. This show has been viewed by more than 3.60 million viewers watching. Airing 171 episodes over 8 seasons. Woah that's a lot of binge-watching needed to be done. There is also a great spin-off show "The originals" so the viewing does have to stop there. If you have plenty of free time this show is perfect to fill that needed void and human social skills that could be a plus. Make sure to not binge watch until the end and make your self-run out of episodes to watch. That's never fun when you get to the end of your favorite show and you want to cry because now you have to fill your time with other productive things to do or find another show. Just when you felt like you could really feel a connection coming along from behind the screen. If that has ever happened to you then you know the feeling that I am talking about. There is a huge great cast that brings so much life to the show that really pushes those emotions onto you. This show is great for someone who enjoys watching supernatural beings this show has many of those. From vampires and werewolves to witches and everyday people and how everyone's life plays a different role in the town known as mystic falls. Just be careful you might find yourself addicted to this show waiting around to hit play to the next episode but trust all those viewers and know that you won't regret it.

Have you ever seen a blog? Do you know what they are and what they are about? Blogs are great for reading many different things. Maybe you want to learn about a topic more, or just read about others lives. There are so many different types of blogs that you can look into, from reading someone stories and adventures to reading one that is more informational. Are you overwhelmed with all the different types of blogs that you could be reading. If so I found some great blogs that you could read to help crave that bloggy ich that you are feeling. The blog "Marriage Confessions" should do just the trick in filling that inner blog that is needed. In this blog, there are many different categories to fill that void needed for the whole family. From talking about marriage and parenting and then there is also faith and fun. What a great blog with so many different options to chose from to read about. Blogs with all sorts of information are great so that you also have a different topic to read or learn about. On the other hand, some blogs are not so great and informational. For example, the blog "Where in the world is Lola" goes on to tell about this woman adventures and what she does, goes and pretty much a lot of information about her. In this blog, it is mostly all about her which can tend to get boring because you start thinking why do I even care about this blog? unless you are a family or friend or just really like to know a lot about another person this blog might not be the best pick for you. It is all up to you and what kind of blogs that you enjoy reading everyone is different no two people all like the same things. Enjoy your blogging!

Me, Myself, and I telling you about who I am

Do you ever wonder who someone is? What they are trying to accomplish throughout there life, and what different dreams they have in the future, 

Everyone always asks what someone want's to do with his or her life, and you usually get a short answer, but I could be wrong some people love to talk about them self's all day long. On the other hand many people are still trying to figure out who they are to them self's.

                                      

I know a little about what I want in life the steps that I need to take to accomplish my goals and the things that I want, whats that you ask? Well here is a little bit of information about myself. My name is Jadin Temple born in Washington State and sent to live out here in Arizona about 9 years ago. Wow that is a long time!

 I am 19 years old, and I have 1 older brother. Who still lives in Washington, but is coming to vist next month. I work with children with disabilities which I love to do. I love helping others and caring for others. I have a very big kind heart, and want to do great things in life with it. My hobbies including hanging out with friends and family and being silly or taking my dogs to the park. I have two puppies an Australian Shepard and a chihuahua they are so sweet and full of life. Some of my biggest goals in live and why I am attending Glendale Community College is because, I am going through a bridge program to get my BSN (Bachelors Science in Nursing), and someday work with Neo Natal New born babies.

I cant wait until I get there and am able to say that I made it and take care of these beautiful little bundles of joy and life. I know it is not going to be easy and its going to take a lot but it is so worth it. Thank you for getting to know me a little bit and about what I enjoy.
